Calangute Seashore in Goa is also famous since the queen of beaches. There are also vegetarian restaurants but few. Most places serve western style breakfast. Night-life in Calangute can be a bit lacklustre, with many bars closing at 10pm generally. Only a handful of places still make sense until the early hours of the evening. It is pleasantly different from the wilderness at night, especially other beaches in Goa.
Places to visit in Calangute are Kerkar Artwork Gallery and Church of St. Alex. The art gallery preserves paintings and sculptures by highly skilled young artists from Goa and promotes other Indian cultural events. St. Alex Church attracts tourists with its unique and charming architecture and beautiful altar.
